Years 1-13 eligibility

At Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu - The Correspondence School, we are able to offer enrolment in various categories, depending on your student's situation.

From the list below, select the relevant enrolment category, then answer the questions that follow to find out whether your student may be eligible to enrol at Te Kura under that particular enrolment category:

Full-time

Full-time enrolment is for students who are unable to attend a face-to-face school because of special circumstances.

Dual

Dual tuition is for students who currently attend a primary or secondary school and require enrolment in a particular subject.

Overseas

These students are living overseas for at least six months and are unable to attend an overseas school full-time or cannot receive full tuition in an overseas school or require tuition in New Zealand national qualification subjects.

Applications for this enrolment category must be made within 12 months of departure from New Zealand.

Fee-paying

Fee-paying enrolment is for students who are not eligible for New Zealand Government-funded enrolment. This category includes children who have an exemption from the Ministry of Education to be home-schooled.

Adult

Adult enrolment is for students aged 16 or over (or 15 and hold an early release exemption) and who are not enrolled at a school.
