Plaster of Paris Project

Communication Goal 4: Children discover and develop different ways to be creative and expressive.

You will need

cut the top off the box
line the bottom with a slab of clay
poke objects such as pine cones, fingers, bottle tops into the clay
mix and pour in plaster of paris
add string so the model can be hung up and scratch names or messages on
leave for a few days to dry and then carefully cut off the carton and peel off the clay
the indents you made in the clay will poke out from the plaster of paris model giving a three D effect
the model can be left as is or creativity can run riot with paints, glitter etc.
don’t forget to send your teacher a photo.
