Hessian kete.

Communication Goal 4: Children discover and develop different ways to be creative and expressive.
You will need:
- A plastic bowl or container
- A piece of hessian
- PVA glue (two parts glue diluted with one part water)
- A brush
Method 1
Cut the hessian to fit the bowl.
Brush glue evenly over the hessian.
Place hessian in the bowl and mould into place.
Leave until completely dry
Method 2 (more challenge)
You will also need
- A needle
- Thread
Fold the hessian in half and sew both sides.
Brush on the glue and mould into shape around the container.
When semi-dry remove the container from the hessian and fold the rim to the outside.
Leave until completely dry.
Decorating the kete
Your child can decorate the kete with paints, or glue some lightweight bits and pieces onto it.
Use the kete for storing crayons, collage materials and Lego.
