TRIMMING A GRAPHIC IN PAINT

Often you may want to use only part of a picture that you’ve found in ClipArt or on the Internet.  For instance, this seagull’s head was cropped from a picture that showed the whole seagull and part of a landscape.

- Here’s how to trim the picture so that you get only the part that you want:

- First view the required picture on your computer screen.

- COPY the screen by using <Print Scrn> and then

- OPEN Paint by doing the following:

- - PASTE your picture into the Paint screen by doing [Ctrl]V

CLICK the Select button (dotted rectangle).

MARK the area you want to trim using the mouse.

- COPY this area using [Ctrl] C and Quit out of Paint.

- OPEN a Word Document and

- PASTE the section into your document by using [Ctrl] V
