When you are asked to draw a diagram or do a calculation . .

read the question looking for information and clues about how to write your answer

 
look at the science information page (on the inside cover of the exam paper) for the formulae and charges of ions, formulae used in calculations and electrical circuit symbols, and for clues about how to answer the question

 
show any units involved in your answer

 
if a calculation is needed, show all your working (write separate lines for each part) for instance, in calculating the power (P) from voltage (V) and current (I):
