An introduction to drawing, painting, sculpture and design using a variety of techniques and media. Once you have returned the first worksheet, your teacher will plan an appropriate programme to meet your needs and interests in art.
It includes:
- drawing
- painting
- mixed media
- design
- sculpture.
To be provided by the student
Adult students and secondary dual students are to supply their own art materials.
How learning/feedback is delivered
You are provided with a suitable programme of learning based on your needs and goals. Programme materials may be delivered as a CD-Rom/DVD-Rom, via website or by booklets. Feedback from your teacher may be written or by telephone, Skype or email.

This builds a foundation for further study in the visual arts and develops skills introduced in Year 9. It covers drawing, painting, design, sculpture and printmaking. There are also some computer activities students may do if they have the technology.
You'll develop visual perception, imagination, practical and critical skills. Once you have returned the first worksheet, your teacher will plan an appropriate programme to meet your needs and interests in art.
It includes:
- drawing from observation
- colour mixing
- use of paint and mixed media
- use of tone
- card print or monoprint
- sculpture
- looking at established artists' work.
