2010 World of Wearable Arts show

The 22nd annual World of Wearable Art Awards Show will run from 23 September to 3 October in Wellington at the TSB Bank Arena on Queen’s Wharf.

Artists and designers from New Zealand and around the world enter amazing garmets that are presented in a unique two-hour show of choreography, music, lighting and special effects.

Cuba Street

You’ll find plenty of cafes, bars, and shops along Cuba Street. It’s a pedestrian-only area that is known for its bohemian character.

For a fantastic view of the city, take a trip on one of Wellington’s historic cable cars. The cable cars run from Lambton Quay to the Botanic Gardens via the corporate towers of the Terrace.

Getting around Wellington

Airport
The Wellington International Airport is situated about a 15-minute drive to the city centre. Most taxis will charge $30.

Super Shuttles charge approximately $15 for a trip from the airport to the CBD.

Train
Train services run from Wellington's central  railway station to Porirua and the Kapiti  Coast, as well as to the Hutt Valley and the wine-growing region of the Wairarapa.
